Kinetic Academy
18 exceptional players will be selected from the London Borough’s of Merton, Croydon, Southwark and Sutton to represent Kinetic Academy and attend training days in the February, Easter and July school holidays leading up to competing in the Welsh International Super Cup July 2012.
Kinetic Coaching have partnered with P.E.L.O in order to gain charitable support to run this project at minimal cost to players. We envisage that, through fundraising events overseen by Kinetic Coaching, each player will receive sponsorship to cover the cost incurred.
We aim to provide each young person with positive exit routes from Kinetic Academy. That may be in the form of a trial at a professional football club, a scholarship in an American University, paid employment as a football coach or referee or invaluable experience in their chosen field which can be added to their CV when applying for college, university or employment.
Our passion is to work with young people and provide them with positive life experiences through harnessing the power of sport. Alongside the football training and friendly matches organised for the squad, the players will complete a minimum of three hours work experience either coaching or officiating community football or work experience with one of our partners either within sport or perhaps in another employment sector.
